DESCRIPTION:This photography exhibition is hosted by the National Trust at Penrose. \n\n\n\nOn a single day in summer\, one acre of wildflower meadow can contain 3 million flowers\, producing 1kg of nectar sugar. That’s enough to support nearly 96\,000 honeybees per day.  \n\n\n\n97% of species-rich grassland has been lost in the UK since the 1930s\, with the remaining 3% mostly fragmented across the country\, leaving little room for wildlife to spread.  \n\n\n\nExplore how the National Trust and partners are tackling these issues\, through the Coastal Meadows project and the Lizard Rarities Project\, in this photography exhibition.

The event is free (admission applies)\, and booking is not required. \n\n\n\nEveryone is welcome to join us for a gentle family friendly walk from Penrose Hill car park taking in the parkland at Penrose. \n\n\n\nWe will have nature spotting sheets available for children to explore the creatures that live here and will also be exploring the walled garden.  \n\n\n\nThe walks are led by volunteer walk leaders and offer the opportunity for anybody to spend time in nature and meet new people. Everyone is welcome\, of all abilities and experience\, and the walk leader will facilitate the walk to ensure everybody feels comfortable.
