DESCRIPTION:This exhibition is organised by Penrose National Trust. Please see their website for more details: https://bit.ly/4t73HFj \n\n\n\nMaya is a textiles and installation artist whose work explores the many ways people have connected with nature in the UK\, drawing on cultural\, historical and traditional stories\, as well as more complex relationships with the natural world. For this project\, Maya has gathered\, processed and dyed materials using plants found here\, working closely with our volunteers and rangers to forage and collect natural dyes that have inspired and shaped the finished pieces.

SUMMARY:Butterfly Field Trip to Goonhilly Downs
DESCRIPTION:This event is organised by the Cornwall Branch of Butterfly Conservation (CBC) in partnership with The Lizard’s Natural England (NE) team.  \n\n\n\nPlease check CBC’s website and social media for more information; and also check prior to each field trip in case of cancellation due to weather or other complications.  \n\n\n\nGoonhilly Downs house a significant number of rarer butterflies including Marsh Fritillary\, Grayling\, Silver-studded Blue\, Small Heath and Small Pearl-bordered Fritillary. The NE team will lead us to a location in Central Goonhilly where Marsh Fritillary were recorded last year. Meet at Dry Tree car park in the National Nature Reserve (near the Earth Station) on the B3293 St Keverne road (SW730212); W3W magpie.marathons.ticked  \n\n\n\nBring a packed lunch\, and wellies in case it’s wet underfoot.
