Storms and Shipwrecks: A Walk Around Lizard Point

November 9 @ 10:00 am – 12:30 pm

This event is organised by Lizard National Trust.

Step into Cornwall’s dramatic maritime past with a guided walk around Lizard Point, Britain’s most southerly mainland point and a notorious graveyard of ships. This rugged coastline, riddled with savage rocks and hidden coves, has claimed hundreds of vessels over the centuries—from merchant ships to wartime wrecks. As you trace the cliffside paths, your guide will bring to life tales of daring rescues, tragic losses, and the heroic efforts of the lifeboat crews.

Meet at Lizard Point NT carpark (near the lighthouse) TR12 7NT. Booking is essential. To book, please ring 0344 249 1895. There is no charge, but parking charges will apply for non-NT members.
